Lane Hutson is probably the most skilled player of the options here. His speed and skating is simply elite... yes size is a concern (5'9 161 lbs), but hes obviously going to put on more weight into his early 20s. As I mentioned earlier he put up the same numbers as Makar did in NCAA against men at 18/19 years old, while Makar was 20 when he did. (no Im not suggesting he'll be as good as Makar by any stretch). Was a Hobey Baker finalist too.

The kid just stands out

Stankoven would have been top 10 if it wasn’t for his size but the guy is a 2-way player with high end skill.

Reinbacher

Until Lane Hutson manages to get better at skating and defense I don't see him being more then a player who will need his minutes watched or be partnered with a player that will do lots of the heavy lifting to the detriment of their own game. I doubt the Habs got Reinbacher just so he could be their version of Marc Methot.

agreed, I think they will both be exceptional PP specialists

Benson / Leonard / Reinbacher

We haven't touched the 2023ers in a while, and I take all three over Will Smith.

Sounds like a player type that should go much lower.

Until they prove otherwise, the question is going to dog them - are there any elite NHLers that play like them? I don't see any at that size.

Hi did you have anything to bring to the thread?

Zellweger and Hutson are very similar prospects that should go near each other

Lane Hutson had a great season but he didn't really dissuade me from the questions I had in his draft year. We all know what he can do with the puck on his stick. He isn't really going to be able to answer those questions until he... does it in the show.

It's about Snuggerud time. Elite D+1 production and a very NHL translatable skillset. Was third in points at the WJC as an 18 year old behind only Bedard and Cooley.
