- that oil ice was iffy tonite , seemed to be lots of bobbling pucks
- mcdavids a great player but i dont have an opinion about him as a captain . mean while i observe larkin and think this guy is a GREAT captain who keeps his team fired up and on the same page
- albert johansson is very good on d side of puck
McDavid was being ragged on for weeks around here about being too fired up in the Amazon documentary during the Oilers playoffs run. Has Larkin played a playoff game?

Overall talent in the East is harder, you’re almost guaranteed to go through a decent team or two through the playoffs
Every playoff team in the West would be considered a decent team and tough out except for the Canucks/Flames, only one of which is likely to make it in the first place.

If the top 8 right now in the East holds true it is. You've got teams with atrocious goal differential still in the mix. I'd love to see the Jackets take one of those final playoff spots, hope they can hang onto it.

I must have really touched a nerve for their to be a Rider shot in here, lol. I'll take mediocrity over whatever it is the Elks existence would fall under ;).

I am also fully aware that Skinner is one of the Oilers biggest question marks heading into the postseason, you just need to learn to expand your horizons on things to complain about. Throw in some Arvidsson complaints once in a while, criticize Stauffer's hair, something, anything. Expand those creative horizons.

I don't watch the CFL. It's utterly irrelevant in every city and province except yours ;)

Arvidsson is a bit player and his linemate Draisaitl is sort of the Hart frontrunner, so he's clearly not impeding the team significantly, and Stauffer has damn fine hair.

Skinner, however, has cost us numerous games, an entire postseason (2023), almost cost us last year's postseason (his .833 against Vancouver is the worst save percentage of any goalie who "won" a playoff series), played awful in the first three games of the Finals, and wasn't impressive at all when he needed to be in Game 7.

But hey, remember that Dallas series! And remember the Boston shutout? Game 7 guys!

Some of us want McDavid and Draisaitl to win their long-deserved Cup, but for whatever reason you and your ilk love deflecting blame from one of the biggest reasons why they haven't and may never, and clearly wouldn't mind if the McDrai Oilers were just as successful as the Riders have been in an 8-team league for 110-plus years...

Riveting story, had me on the edge of my seat

Oil scored one goal through the first two games...

There's this thing called overtime. In the playoffs it's continuous! Basically, if the game is tied after three periods, the two teams keep playing one another in successive periods until one team scores and ends the game! It's really cool. It can happen in a 1-1 game, or even 0-0! When your goalie is unable to save 90% of the shots he faces for three straight games, it makes overtime difficult to reach. I think NHL.com has a page with the rules!

You’re welcome.

McLellan just alluded to it on , and it sounded like hyperbole so I had to check it, but he’s spot on: Dylan Larkin took 39 (!!) faceoffs tonight in Edmonton. Went 24-15 on them. Big time stuff.

I understand the rules perfectly well, thank you. The Oilers didn’t score but 1 goal in 120 minutes, which makes overtime very difficult to reach....
And you can shove your condescending attitude up your ass.
