I think this can all be solved by pointing out that Ottawa clinched early enough that they didn’t have to finish the season playing must-win games.

Habs had to play a must-win game against Carolina because they failed to win three potential clinchers in a row.

Thank me later.

...y'all didn't want to pass Florida and maybe finish 3rd??...betcha the Players did...so the games DID matter to the Players...lame excuse instead of admitting an error...

I think we won that one game after we clinched and it was impossible to catch Florida at that point since they started winning again.

Florida locked up 3rd before these last two games.

I was pissed at our coach against Chigaco for some stupid decisions, I feel that MSL is making mistakes by not playing Demidov more and in the shoutout but where did it say that MTL choked?

Here's some more from Montreal's recent performances:

Probably the most pathetic performance in the entire nhl this year.

How is this team in a playoff fight lol

Maybe MSL doesn't want to make the playoff? He was told to be in the mix this year, maybe it's enough for him?

It certainly sounds like you were going into the playoffs guns blazing!

Not sure what NHL.com is trying to tell us with this... :D

Tbh when I saw Brind’Amour in a Canes practice lineup a few days ago I thought this was what was happening

I always think of Coach Lester Patrick playing in goal for the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup Finals because they couldn't find anyone else.

...and??...quit moving the goalposts and explain how the Habs choked down the stretch (7-1-2) while the Sens didn't??...:dunno:

it’s just a series of events that actually happened. Who said the habs choked? I think a number of people were cheering on the potential choke. A poster being upset about it isn’t something I can control but I will answer questions when you ask.
