GDT: HFBoards GDT: 3/24/2025 | Well I can count to 4 at least.

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

It feels like this year, everything that could have gone wrong for Vancouver has gone wrong. Almost everything that could have gone right for them last year went right (until injuries did them in come playoff time). Average this year and last year out and that’s more like who they really are.
I feel like the subtext here is that my Caps are in for a rough ride next year. And I don’t like it…

Should be a good Prime game.

I made cookies with 10 year old Betty Crocker mix. I ate them all over the last 4 days. No injuries.

E40 played about 3 fantastic games this year, including the last few.

That’s where you went wrong. If you’re trying to get injured while eating, you’re supposed to try it with pancakes, not cookies. Ask Dustin Penner about that one.

I think it depends on the guys who took a big step forward this year to keep it up. It’s not something I would count on happening, but you never know, and there could very well be someone else who takes a step forward to even out, say, Dylan Strome, regressing a bit. You never know.

That’s my favorite word in English: “you never know.”

Vancouver was very good the last 30 games under Tochett his first year and carried that basically all of last year.
I mean I don't think it's a homer take to say any team would struggle without their vezina calibre goalie for 60 games with the replacement rocking a 904 save % and the backup 856%.
You then add 21 games no Hronek, the JT saga, EP not healthy all year until the last 8-10 games, Quinn missing 14 Brock 8 games etc etc.
Ive watched the sport for 40+ years and honestly haven't quite seen a season where a black cloud has been hovering this long.

Forget everything else and just insert Demko healthy all year and we are likely 3rd in the Pacific.

People gush over Lankinen and he's had a good season but for reference, both duck goalies have a better save% and the nucks have a much stingier defense.
Blown leads and OT losses like we've had I don't see happening with Demko, especially last year's version.
