  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

    Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I’d say the more up to date stereotype of Philadelphia sports fans is while they are quite a tough crowd, they direct their vitriol towards their own teams instead of away fans. Or they throw batteries at Santa.
A few years ago the 76ers signed a player originally from the DC area who tweeted a pic of himself on his way to an eagles game, wearing a Redskins jersey. People in the comments were warning him to change into something else but he laughed it off. Got into a massive brawl in the stadium parking lot almost immediately. And that was a 6'10" pro athlete.. who plays for another one of the hometown teams

Wa that a protest because batteries weren't included with their toys?

I apparently mixed up (well, combined) two separate incidents. Phillies fans once threw batteries (the batteries came in some promotional item given away at the game) at J.D. Drew who was drafted by the Phillies but signed with St. Louis.

The Eagles often bring out Santa around Christmas time for a little good will, but one bad year, the fans were having none of it and expressed their frustration by throwing snowballs at him. Not batteries.

Lying to make it not seem as bad as it is.

You don't put up back-to-back 130+pims if you're not a fighter.

Now 3-0 coming up.
Lying? lmao - this player is an AHL journeyman and our 8th D. Of course he's gonna get his ass kicked by a heavyweight NHL fighter.

Any sensitivity you're sensing on my part is completely imagined by you :laugh:

@Winston Wolf @Danko
Sorry man, I couldn’t tell you how it is these days.

I’m banned from the Wells Fargo Center after 3 Devils fans in my section got stabbed with a $17 Goose Island tall boy can prison shank by a still unknown person.
