I think you fail to realize the dig.

I said the Senators struggle to make the playoffs. Your dig is oh well our old team used to make the playoffs.

Okay...? What's that got to do with anything. Not a single player on the current Sens team has played 83 games with the Senators in a season. Creating a strawman doesn't make your argument stronger. You just changed the narrative to something that isn't even relevant.

The ghosts of your team were good, sure. The current team collapses at the thought of being the top 50% of the league. Make the playoffs before you start talking about Cups or winning rounds.

Yeah, Samsonov got lucky he got to win a game against the choker Ullmark. He was swept clean by Swayman.

I thought both goals in Game 7 were on Samsonov. The first goal was a complete muffin that an ECHL goalie should stop. The OT winner, he forgets he has a stick in his hand and lets Pastrnak just deke him while he makes a snow angel. He had the option to beat Pastrnak to the puck OR poke check the puck away, he choose to do a snow angel instead. Rielly was even yelling at Samsonov to play the puck but he was too scared and decided to make a snow angel.

I'm pretty confident Woll shuts out Boston in Game 7. I didn't think Boston had 1 good chance in regulation all game.
Yea Samsonov and Marner both whiffed as Pasta blew by them for that series winning goal.

Wasn't Marner's man. He's not supposed to shadow the forward and be the last man back as a winger on a delayed icing. Samsonov was the one who choked. Bruins got a home ice bounce and Samsonov didn't take advantage of his position or stick.

But regardless, the game doesn't even go there if Samsonov didn't allow a muffin.

If Samsonov did try to make a play and failed, he'd get even more flack. And, yeah, it's not Marner's assignment to catch the streaking winger, but the d-men already failed.

Bedard strikes me as another Marchessault, i.e., an undersized but scrappy scoring forward.

Am increasingly doubtful that Bedard going to be a Kapizov-like true franchise player who can regularly carry a team.
I think he'll be better than Mechassault, much better, but style-wise the comparison seems on point.

Probably right, Marchessault had a strong supporting cast in Vegas and seems to have faded in Nashville.

Speaking of which, real defensive battle in St. Louis, with the Blues leading the Preds 4-3 with 13 minutes remaining in the second.

For the comparison's sake, March was also drafted as a smallish center. Florida never really played him there, but he was listed as a center.

pasta flew by Marner at center , before he breezed by Rielly the dman.
I get ya, Sammy sucked but Marner has been a total flop in every series. His stats in games 5, 6 and 7s throughout his career is down right pathetic.
Leafs fans like to throw goalies and one Dman a season under the bus .....then go waaaay out their way not to look at #16 at play off time.
ha!
