When you're the defending Cup champs, everybody brings their "A" game against you when you're on the road (and too often at home). It's a big deal for their fans and so the players give it their best.

For the defending Cup champs, not so much. It's a struggle to play at such a high level on a long road trip and basically you end up getting up for some games and sleepwalking through some others.

Know this all too well from how Vegas went through last season as the defending Cup champs. Some nights you play like Tarzan, and some nights you play like Jane.
And the Cats played better tonight than vs Edmonton, which was a shinny game. Evaluating teams based on a week is usually bad.

Glad that goal didn’t stand for Buffalo because I want them to get to 12.

But hearing the announcers saying he went into the paint on his own and wasn’t pushed while watching video of him being pushed into the paint is embarrassing. Like…he’s full on stick pushed two handed by Tavares

The evaluation was that they are wildly inconsistent. Which they are. I think we are all aware "it's an 82 game season" and "goalies can have good and bad games".

You haven't watched the games you're referencing. That's my assessment of your evaluation of a weeks worth of Cat's games.

And you have trouble facing facts. In their last 5 games, they averaged 6 goals in 2 of those and 0.33 in the other 3. But you are probably still butthurt over our last argument so you are trying to shape it like there is some logical fallacy to the basic facts I'm pointing out.

So now getting shoved into the goaltender from behind isn't enough to negate Goaltender interference, which the rulebook says it is. They really need to fix how this is interpreted, because it's impossible to know what is and what isn't GI.

Like I said, one week is bad analysis. I'm saying that's a small sample size to call any team anything.
