It was delayed but he didn’t get off the ice in time. His skate was still on the ice when the puck entered.
Yeah, but I mean did the next guy enter before he was off the ice? It was clearly offside when the puck entered. Maybe they played it like a delayed offside so when acciari got on the bench the pens could enter again?
I expected it to be called back, but maybe that was the decision?

Lmao at Kotchetkov 🤣 my 8 year old nephew could have saved that slow five hole shot from going in between the legs. He had all day to cover his five hole with the stick

True but I still thought he was in the zone before accari got off, maybe not.

Hard for a goalie to react to that. Bad turnover in front, Konecny redirected it. Sometimes change ups are harder to stop than fastballs.

But why didnt he cover his five hole with his stick? That is pretty basic even with that bad turnover. What makes it look bad is the puck going in slowly

its not that serious

I was watching this and wondering if there's anything in the rulebook that explains this. Obviously over the blueline, but he's also definitely not engaging with anything happening on the ice. If a player came off the bench to replace him, and he's clearly out of the play and in the process of changing.... something like that. But yeah, what if the puck went by Rakell and hit Acciari in the back, would they have called too many men?

The bench doors not being in the same location relative the bluelines from building to building maybe makes it more complicated to know what the rules are/should be.

To me it looks like he's expecting Konecny to control that puck and make a stickhandle (i.e ready to pokecheck, which Kochetkov is known for). Looks like Konecny might have been trying to do as such but missed it and ended up redirecting it 5hole.

I never played goal but Ive played enough D/out to know that's definitely a hard play for a goalie to react to.
