One team is a cup contender, the other expected to finish near the bottom. It's not even a pillow fight.
Flames will never be a bottom of the league team with the current roster, they've essentially guaranteed that with the Kadri, Weegar, and Huberdeau contracts. They'll be in the mushy middle for the foreseeable future.

Vegas is the only team worth worrying about in the Pacific tbh. Even the Canucks PDO bender isn't continuing this year
We still have to make the playoffs.lol.

However.. the west is brutal.. Vegas and Dallas come to mind. And if we want a cup.. we have to go through them too.

We were bottom 10 last year with a much better team. Well much better blueline, the forward group didn't change much.

You can try to spin the narrative all you want, but most Calgary vs. Edmonton games are battles
Doesn't mean people have to act like twats.

The West seems like a weird crap shoot this season. Some teams off to a slow start. Jets will be an interesting team to keep an eye on down the stretch

The Oilers luck will run out eventually. No more bottom feeders after this game. It will be NJ, Vegas and Canucks soon. Cant wait to face the Oilers, Petersson needs a stat boost.

Remember when Vancouver won the Cup in October/November last year too? Newsflash, games in Oct/November mean f*** all by the time the playoffs start. Oilers have a better record this year at this point than last year's team.

The PP and shooting percentage for the Oilers isn't going to stay this low forever, enjoy it while it lasts.

So maybe you should watch playoff hockey only. Sorry but I still watch regular season games.

Also i really doubt they will go on a huge fluke win streak like last year which lasted 17 games?? Their record might be better compared to last year at this point but i dont see them putting huge win streaks like last year and having a 50% conversion on the PP.

Watch them sure. Making bold proclamations though is stupid. Oilers looked worse at this point last year.

The low shooting percentage they have and the low PP% they have is not going to hold that low forever (same thing happened to start last year).
