Ron Rolston, Ted Nolan, Bylsma, Housley, Kreuger, Granato.

The Sabres need to pay the real money to hire someone who isn't going to become a career assistant coach or retired after being fired.

They have a nasty trend of the same thing with GMs. They haven't had anyone respectable in the organization for a decade.

Islanders brought Lou in and Trotz was brought in to restore functionality within the franchise. Sabres neeed to do the same.
Jon Hynes come on down!

Nolan was a solid coach.

That’s so funny. Every fanbase cries and moans how dumb their team is to use it, and weirdly assumes no other team would ever be so “stupid” to employ it too, lol.
It's almost as if a single puck carrier is statistically the worst way to enter a zone.

3 words,

Kim Pegula cheap.

I am a drop pass hater, although I understand why it's helpful to avoid the high checker. Just don't like 4 guys standing still on the blueline to enter the zone on the PP.

The version with two trailers with options to pass I like a lot better.

Which is basically how the Wings utilize the drop pass by nearly coming to a stop and dropping to someone that hasn't even turned up ice yet. The end result is someone slowly skating into a wall with everyone else stationary at the line. Maybe 1 in 10 they actually get the puck to Larkin at speed.

Wing fans are bitching about shitty drop passes.

Agreed. Allows you to gain the zone with more team speed/players skating versus one player hitting the line at speed and others standing still.

It's fine if handled correctly the problem is for a lot of teams is it gets very predictable and can be read very easily if done that way.

We saw it in Nashville when the play was always to drop it to Josi, it got to the point where teams would just wait and often cut the puck off. It was just bad.

It's funny to me because I hate the other one

This is the other one - way too narcisist we're Canadian and Americans are dummies, I'm embarrassed every time it comes on

The insane jingoistic aspect of this particular ad on top of the already irritating barrage of gambling ads in general, just sends me. Every time. Truly have reached a low point of hockey broadcasting.

Both Toronto goalies are awful. Samsonov is the worse of the two. It is terrifying when he is in net. Woll is not much better.

lol. Ok whatever you say. Woll is anything but awful. Career .917sv% is pretty good for a rookie. Rocking a .944 so far tonight..

Totally agree. I hate the colby Armstrong celly ads or the couch crap or anything that validates idiotic letterkenny type hockey talk (though some of it in the show is funny). Not accurate and makes us look like inbred self-back-patters.

Don't tell this to red wings fans, every drop pass 7 different posters that obviously don't know hockey strategy say it's the worst way to enter the zone.

You should see Pittsburgh PP right now

They haven’t had a single controlled entry in 2 powerplays
3 offsides since on the PP so far.

Just plays off an ignorant superiority complex that's rooted pretty deeply in insecurity. It's one thing when it's in a show like Letterkenny/Shoresy that's basically spoofing the whole culture. It's something else when it's crammed into an ostensibly "serious" gambling ad. Where they seem to be earnestly trying to convince people to bet with their predatory company because it's "Canadian" and "only Canadians know hockey".

There are bunch of "Canadianisms" that get abused by large companies playing to that appeal. There's just something about shoehorning it into a gambling ad which already drive me nuts, that just puts it completely over the top.

Graves attempt at the real All Star casual skate up on the icing really backfired on him there.
