So glad this is blacked out so I have to use an illegal stream that buffers every 4 seconds
Another bullshat penalty call on Utah. And ignore on interference call on the Leaf preventing a 2 on 1 by holding the Utah player.
El Jefe's Post was from before that call. Be fair. You forgot to point out that weak penalty call on the Leafs for Utah's only goal
I wasn't watching then. You forgot to point out that weak penalty call on the Leafs for Utah's only goal
fact this one immediately returned to the mean with the subtraction of one player is going to create interest snd comments. If Tavares was taken off the powerplay and it took off. JT would be getting a ton of shade.Correlation Does Not Imply Causation: 5 Real-World Examples
This article shares several real-life examples of the phrase: correlation does not imply causation.www.statology.org
Interesting read on the topic. While those two events do link together, it does not mean it is the cause. Unless you thought a PP that was last in the league and generating chances but not scoring wasn't going to eventually return to the mean?

Matthews will be back ripping it up. But the powerplay is fine without him. Sometimes less is more , even in hockey.
Yea. Draisaitl played play offs on one good leg. Kept scoring.Matthews has been playing this whole season injured. He got injured in pre-season.

Connor is only getting healthy now. Still scoring.
Sure Matthews needs time off. Like anyone who is injured.
The point we are making is the leafs have never looked better , nor has their play.
Goid team can survive with out their best player. This one is flourishing without theirs.
I mean this seems a bit presumptious when we all have absolutely no idea what his injury even is. The Leafs are a better team with Matthews full stop no questions asked. It is a dumb discussion.Yea. Draisaitl played play offs on one good leg. Kept scoring.

No no we definitely want to go into the playoffs with Pontus Holmberg as our 2C. Totally sustainable.I disagree they've never looked better. They've completely changed their game and struggle to score goals. They're missing 7 NHL regular forwards. They're trying to win every game 2-1 or 1-0.
You can do this over a short period and be successful, but this isn't sustainable long-term. They need to score more goals but the injuries are forcing them into this game.

His stick was nowhere near the Leaf.Utah trying to injure the Leafs
Refs can't get a call right. Completely worthless. There was no trip there. Leaf just fell into the boards.
I mean I am not saying it can't be brought up. I just disagree with the idea. The Leafs have historically played well when any of the top guys have been out.Agreed.
But it's not taboo on a hockey chat board to bring up how well the leafs play without him.
And not just this season.
Couldn't see anything on the replay. That's not true at all. Even Sergachev went up to the player and said he's sorry. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean no one else does.
