Typical season involves a stupid amount of back-to-backs, Leafs getting suspended left, right and centre, and opponents doing what the f*** they want.

He didn't leave the ice before contact (by a millisecond) but he still launched himself up. It's the type of action that the NHL would ban if they remotely cared about player safety, but we all know they don't.

DOPS only exists so that hopefully in a decade when someone brings a billion dollar lawsuit against the league for head injury stuff they can try to defend themselves in court.

This wasn’t a hit where the feet leave the ice due to the impact. The replay pretty clearly shows him driving his body upwards into Knies head. The kind of hit the NHL needs to get rid of. Whitecloud could’ve easily rocked knies with a clean hit to the chest, but this wasn’t that.

They are in most cases just incompetent. But the point is that if they were favoring Vegas they would have made that call.
