He tries to use his fat ass strength by pinning it to the board. Still ends up losing too many times. It's a shame, he's still a good player but it could go downhill with him very quick.
It already has, career wise. Being slow as they come, I wish he made quicker passes and dumps in his end. Unfortunately, his decisions get the team trapped in their end too much.

Good game against the Jets. Lots of activity, we had some bad puck luck, but they’re a great team. They beat us. Happy to split the wins. There were a few times I thought they beat Helley, but he’s so friggin good.

You pegged it. It's really cool that they've been able to do what they've done after losing so many very good players the past few seasons. They play hard every night.
I like these types of “retools” over flat out rebuilds where you just crush the mentality of your entire roster while trying to collect high picks.

Now of course there is no perfect recipe for fixing a team but staying competitive while still collecting decent picks is far more exciting to watch.

Yea, it’s really hard to pick the org up off its ass if you tank for half a decade. The culture is just destroyed. Look at BUFF, DRW, OTT - seems like it never ends.

Kinda have to luck into a generational (or near) player + another all-star fairly quickly.
