Every time I watch Nylander I remember how terrified I was the old regime was going to draft Nick Ritchie instead. Thank you for a day of not being in a brain fog.

I agree, in fact, I think he will get more. It is only Washington's 5th game and there is still just under half of it left.
 
I think Seth Jarvis is the best Canadian Forward born between 2000-2003 (four year sample) right now.
 
I’m genuinely curious to what the Capitals plan is from an organizational stand point? Like are they just set on getting Ovi the record by any means necessary?

Hasn’t scored with it yet this year.

Again, tiny margins between elite and not.

I do think if he gets around 20 at 38 that’s a solid season. Hopefully doesn’t lead to a goal record because I don’t think he deserves it.
 
I think the Caps are in for a decade of being completely mid
 
I'm liking this Frenzy thing. I think they should do it like Presidents day or pick a Saturday with no football and do it, but I've seen too much complaining about this today and I think Hockey fans are some of the biggest complainers I've seen. This is awesome and yeah I would just sit on the couch, having a beer and letting ESPN change the channels for me. Also it helps that I like Buccigross but if Levy was hosting that would be great too.

Probably to rebuild like any other team going forward and let their best player in franchise history play out his contract? I'm genuinely curious what is so genuinely curious about it.

Yeah a random Tuesday is a little odd.
 
The Caps drafting first overall 20 years after drafting Ovechkin - or even the prospect of it - would fill a lot of airtime and column inches...
