I’m obviously exaggerating when I say he’s the worst goalie ever. He’s not.

That said it seems every time I tune in he’s getting lit up like a Christmas tree.

The first games of the season always have a higher focus on them so problems seem more pronounced, and I expect Edmonton will get things back on the rails, but listening to a few people on the radio this week who, rightly, note how exasperating it is to cheer for teams who haven't been able to push through in the playoffs (not just Edmonton) just start the following season so sloppy and indifferent while the last two Cup champions are locked in and undefeated. Both COL and VGK are really, really, good teams, hence the Cups, but you'd think teams who've been stewing in their own anger all summer would want to come out and take names and kick ass out of the gates.

Oilers need some ornery old man coach.

Give them some defensive structure. They’ll hate it (like my guys did Trotz), but it works.

Oilers lose 3 of the next 4 (very possible with McDavid out for some, if not all) and Jay is probably the first coach axed.
 
Honestly, if they charged like 50 bucks a month for frozen frenzy on a regular basis I’d absolutely pony up.

Campbell had a long stretch when he was playing lights out, total wall. But then he got shelled so much with completely undefended shots that it finally got to him. Even just a little defense in front of him would probably have turned that into an Oilers win.
 
Chris Tanev would do wonders for this Oilers blueline. He would make Nurse actually look like a top pairing dman. But no way is he traded to a division rival.

Tanev can make anyone look like a top pairing defenceman, he's that good

Red zone is cool because it is only once a week. If they could manage a similar frequency; I would agree(not paying $50 bucks though).

Campbell is a joke. What a terrible signing.
