With all the camera angles and replays nowadays, it'll just get more complaining about them getting it wrong.

At least now, you can't complain about them getting the call wrong.
Bush league call. I don't see how that was definitive evidence to overturn that as offside.

And yes I do want to see Bedard score as many goals as possible and that's mostly why I'm upset.

The offside wasn’t meant to be called. It’s against the spirit of the rule. It needs to be modified. Don’t like it against me don’t like it for me. Just take the whole thing away.

They need to ban challenging offsides its getting absurd. Guys being offsides by a toenail isnt a big deal.

Itd be like challenge every ball/strike in baseball
Even better example would be if the NFL allowed challenges on defensive offsides and false starts.

All the NHL has to do is have a short time limit from when the zone is entered to when the goal is scored for the goal to be reviewable for offside. Make it like 5 seconds or something so that you can't be offside on a 2 on 1 rush and score a goal but if the play continues long after a zone entry you can't go back and review for offside.

Any new would-be fan of the game that’s watching absolutely has zero clue why that’s not a goal and has probably changed the channel by now. It really isn’t any surprise why this league is so far behind in popularity with rules like that. Unreal. Couldn’t be any more lame and non-entertaining. Don’t blame them for watching the NBA instead after seeing that.

Bouchard giveth and Bouchard taketh away.
outmuscled and out positioned by 5'9 Marco Rossi in front
Rossi is a beast.

The league already decided l, the NHL isn't for everyone.

Just curious, would you be ok with icings being waived off if they are just missed passes by the offending team?

Offsides itself is fine. The offsides challenge needs to go or be restricted to coaches having basically the same camera view we do, normal speed etc. Catch the super egregious offsides if a guy somehow sneaks 10 feet over the line, otherwise live with the same human error we have every other facet of the game.

Spirit of the rule is to ad structure and strategy to the game. It still does that well, challenges were never the intention.
