Looking forward to the Lightning and Flyers games tonight. I think after tonight the only team to not have a game yet is the Ducks. I really hate how the NHL schedules it's openers. Everyone should be playing at least a game within a day of the NA opening night.

Man there are a lot of national games this week. I know it's opening week in the season but I kind of like listening to the local announcers. Feels like most of the games this week were national games, and that's a bummer since the national announcers leave a lot to be desired. I wonder what the future of the local telecasts will be, especially with the RSNs in the shape they are in. I still think the NHL should do what MLS did and make a full fledged no blackout season pass on a streaming service (Apple TV or Amazon) and if they want to keep NHL Network make it available to more people. I've heard that NHL Network is a Comcast/NBC thing which is why it exists in the first place. Why isn't it on Peacock? Then Peacock would have another reason for people to subscribe to it's service when NHL Network televises games.
