Guessing Boston chose the wrong goalie to back?
Nah, they gave up on a great coach with systems and their depth is weaker. I don't see this is a goaltending issue, although that said system did get Swayman overpaid. He's still a good goalie.

Boston is used to keeping it close and having Pasta bail them out in the 3rd/OT.

Only so long that was gonna keep working…

Utah would be tied for a WC2 spot in the East, they're 11th in the West.
That's one team, now include Chicago and San Jose in there. Maybe throw in Nashville, as they'd all be below any Eastern team.

Perry probably did the smart thing. Turtle. and let frederic beat up his hands on the back oh Perry's helmet.

Chicago and San Jose are bad teams for sure. Calgary would be the Atlantic 3rd seed based on P% and they aren't very good either.
If we are going by points percentage, Tampa is ahead of Calgary.

Nice take away by Cates.

The West has far more bottom feeders and maybe 3 contenders - Edmonton, Vegas, Winnipeg.
To think that Dallas, Colorado or Minny aren't Cup contenders but you are likely going to put Toronto, NJ or Carolina in your East contenders is weird to me.

More bottom feeders? Chicago is the only free win. SJ is young and plays fast, Anaheim has one of the best goalies in the league. The rest are nowhere close to bottom feeders.

How is it weird? Are all the west teams making up the final 4? We just went through this in the east, all the contending teams eliminate each other in the first 2 rounds.

The poster was comparing conferences based on team points and where Utah would rank, fair to mention the 3 worst teams by that metric are in the West. And Anaheim isn't one of them. The cup contenders comment is just meh
