Garbage. it was a blindside hit on a guy who was fighting for the puck with another player. That should not be allowed.

He hit him square in the chest. You don't know what "blindside" means. A player looking down isn't blindside.

It's supposed to be a penalty to hit a player engaged with another player, but refs don't call it.

Have the Sabres been playing a shallow 1-2-2 in the NZ all year? Sometimes looks like a redline 2-3
D zone a relatively passive box plus 1. Maybe a Sabres fan can highlight where they have been and if this is a change. Caps have been carrying the play on the O zone for a while now and get rewarded.
