A great advertisement for why video reviews are killing the game.

While they are spending ten minutes navel gazing over the offside how about they call 4 minutes for the high stick on Lindgren. Or how about we go back to puck drop and see if we can find any other offsides and reset the game to the beginning.

I don't understand people who complain that there are coaches who take timeout to have more time to check a play, then challenge the play. It's not a free benefit, you lose your timeout.

If they got rid of the offside challenge linesmen would have to do their job. Now they don 't call offsides. They leave it up to the coaches to challenge if a goal is scored.

Especially on an offside play. What is the spirit of the rule? Is it to prevent the opposing attacker from hanging around in the O-zone, waiting for a pass? Or is it to nitpick if someone's skate laces or nose hair is half an inch offside?

If the referee can't take one look at the play and make a call in 10 seconds, it's not offside. Give an advantage to the attacker, more goals scored. Yay.
