They certainly are...all that talk about who has been most responsible for the Habs' success...lots of good answers of course (I am biased, but will agree with Martin St. Louis as coach), but NO mention of Sam Montembeault??

I'm sorry, but Montembeault may not be a household name, and he isn't Vezina quality, let's be real...but he HAS played above and beyond what can be reasonably expected from him, had kept the Habs in MANY games throughout the season, stole more than a few....and if he doesn't play as well, and MTL is running through a string of goalies trying to find someone to stablize the position, then it doesn't matter how good the skaters are doing, or how well MSL plans for his team...Habs are nowhere without the stability Montembeault has given them more often than not, through the year!

Habs are one of the youngest teams in the NHL , don't you think it would be normal for them to have some growing pains?

They literally drafted 5th overall last year , most didn't expect them to compete for the playoffs this year , especially after the way they started the season.

Ignoring an up and coming teams by taking easy shots seems like low hanging fruit to me.

But to each their own...
