Absolutely. That fan base is the most passionate in all of North American pro sports IMO. Despite the people triggered by me in this thread nobody deserves a cup in Canada more than the Habs. (Maybe the leafs)
id be happy for leaf fans if they won the cup. they deserve it

I started watching hockey super young and before being too much into a franchise and into rivalry etc, I loved when parents were having dinner at friends and I was alone on the couch in the evening watching Saturday Night on CBC and it was always the Leafs. The 94-97 Leafs. I actually loved them. Growing up you realise that if you like one, you gotta hate the rival but deep down Leafs are my 2nd team. Sundin was nice to watch play during that stretch.
...I grew up watching the late 70's and 80's teams...the Leafs sucked for the entirety of the 80's and yet were on CONSTANTLY while our other, good teams were rarely shown nationally...nope, can't do it...

That's all they could ice. They couldn't even ice Connor Carrick who they called up on emergency basis due to cap and are playing with 5 D with Nurse suspended.
Draisaitl, Hyman, Frederic, Kane, Walman, Nurse are reportedly playing in Game 1 but aren't tonight.
