...I'm 6'7 250lbs, just a bit bigger than Nurse...let me drive your head into the ice while I have a stick across your neck and tell me that couldn't cause an injury...
Yeah I have no idea what he is saying. You have all the leverage and hit their head from on top of them with a stick is definitely likely to injure.

Ya, neck and head injuries are no joke. We’ve seen concussions from nothing plays. I’d say it’s a one game suspension (assuming no injury) just to set a precedent that there’s zero tolerance for a play like that.

I could see last regular season game plus game 1 of playoffs too if they're setting a precedent. But it's DoPS so we know how that goes.

What's your point, that he could've caused an injury? Of course. I didn't say otherwise. I said that I didn't think that Byfield was injured. See the difference?

What's your point, that he could've caused an injury? Of course, but did he? Byfield left the ice and walked down the tunnel pretty quickly and on his own.

...that take is soo ridiculous...LOTS of guys (and girls) have walked back to the Room on their own and have been out for MONTHS because of injury...sad...

The stick was in front of his neck....

...across his throat makes it better??...crush his larnyx instead of a vertebrae makes it better??...see directly above...

I doubt that Byfield is injured. I think that he was told to go to the dressing room to try to help maximize the punishment, especially with the score and time left in the period. They may even keep him out for the rest of the game to try to get a suspension.
He skated off with out a care in the world 🤷‍♂️

Laws of physics say yes. and crushing his larynx is that situation is a stretch.

...defending that play is a stretch...and apparently you failed Physics...

I am not defending it. I am saying you are playing the coulda woulda card to make it something it's not.

And no, I did very well at physics. If you think they are equal...then....I can't help you.

EDIT: note....the stick isn't even at his neck. dumb play yes...what you are making it to be, no.

...you don't know if he's hurt or injured...it was a dirty play and he could have seriously injured Byfield...and again, if you don't understand how that could have injured his larnyx (throat in general, really) than you didn't do as well as you think you did in regards to Physics...or your teacher sucked and you didn't learn much...
