I'm stating the East is significantly weaker than previous years and this has allowed an objectively weak Habs team to battle for a playoff position as a result, when in previous years this would not be the case.

In essence, I'm stating this is beneficial to Montreal, not detrimental or their "problem" as you oddly just suggested.

Actually this has been my point from the very beginning.

The "whining" is being done by those upset that I view the East as weak, Montreal as a still very inconsistent, bad squad with a relatively high ceiling down the road, just nowhere near there yet.
