I can't stand him for being the main piece in the Luongo trade and playing like shit in the few games he played for the Cats.

That was more or less what we just watched... going to get annoying for the players.

They will live with it if he plays like this.

Habs fans are starved for a league recognized offensive superstar.

Suzuki's been wonderful but he doesn't get the universal love that a guy like Kucherov or Kaprizov get.

Some even now don't call Suzuki a "true number 1C on a contending team" which to me is ridiculous.

However , witnessing a Habs own drafted player that is this special has not happened in modern hockey.

Habs fans have ridiculous passion and expectations but having a player with Demidov's potential doesn't happen very often.

Naturally they are being overzealous and they'll calm down...eventually.

That said, he is a pending UFA...and he MIGHT be Fool's Gold.
Wouldn't surprise me if someone gave him a nice fat contract based on this season, and goes back to being bottom sixer extraordinaire...with the pedestrian numbers to match...

I wouldn't mind him on a decent team.

I was thinking why the Lightning didn't try to trade for him, or even sign him in the off season....but again...I worry based on his track record.

He either FINALLY broke out and this is who he is.... or is playing way above his head and someone's gonna get burnt on a contract.

He is the epitome of complete wild card.
