I don’t want to be disrespectful, honestly, but I just don’t understand what the Leafs were thinking goaltending-wise this season.

Everybody pretty much knows that Samsonov is not good enough. It’s not a Vegas Golden Knights situation with a fantastic defense.

It’s an average defense with average goaltending. Are they planning to score five goals every game to win in the playoffs?

Tom Wilson got a 6 game suspension on what was called a minor penalty - but since it drew blood, the officials were handcuffed and forced to make it a double minor.

Toronto started Samsonov and Woll at the start of the season.

Woll was great and Samsonov was atrocious.

Then Woll got injured.

Then Samsonov just couldn't play anymore, so Toronto relied on their 3rd string goalie who was on waivers, for a month.


The problem is as much the goalies as the defenders though.

Yup. Leafs are getting beat down too though. They seem more interested in only helping AM score instead of actually trying to win. Lots of soft play. Samsonov has been hung out to dry by his club.

Caps, Wings and Flyers all doing their part to keep things interesting today. Seems like the Flyers woke up just in time to stay in the race

An investigation has to be undertaken to scour through the bank accounts of NHL refs involved in Toronto games.

How a player is called for a penalty when his stick is used by an opponent on another opponent is just unreal.
