Unless the Flames expect Wolf to play at this level every year, they've got a painful rebuild on the horizon. With their season on the line, the Sharks are playing them out of the building but Wolf is standing on his head right now.

Also drew helleson averaging around 16 mins a night in his rookie season…. +9 with 12 points in 50 games

Pretty solid season for him(part of the Josh Manson trade)

Yea, but it started cause he wanted to sign the yr before (and I guess Philly didn’t want to burn that yr on his ELC)

The question is why did he refuse? If it was a legitimate beef with the GM they should have fired the GM.

...it was literally cuz they knew he wasn't ready for the Show and didn't want to burn a year of his ELC...he basically f'ed Philly over cuz he wanted his money NOW...

That smol ginger is the only reason they are even sniffing the playoffs. That being said that painful rebuild already has a lot of nice prospects on the blueline and the wing. Need to pick only centers in the draft this year.

It doesn't matter if he was ready. He was a high first round pick and should have been offered that as a matter of course.

Yea, that’s fair. There was some perception that he was entitled, etc…. I dont remember all the details. Blame on both sides I guess.

But if Philly would just embrace a rebuild, and not have Torts all over these kids - who cares if you let him try the NHL a year early. If you believe in his talent long term. I dunno.

I can't believe Gudas is a captain, seeing him standing there waiting for a verdict and then be the one the skate back to his bench and explain it to his guys....

you would need a little orphan Annie decoder to figure out the calls....

...burning that year of ELC for no other reason than Gauthier wanting to get paid earlier wouldn't have been a smart move for Philly (cuz they knew they were going nowhere), so they didn't do it; no one thought Gauthier would blow a gasket and refuse to sign...it was a spoiled pr*ck move, imo...

Flames Jets would be a fun all Canadian matchup series................Come on Flames don't blow this........
