Paid attention a couple times over the years but that's about it...........HAve a bit of knowledge about it's history because before the days of the internet i watched a lot of Sportsline and Sports Center.....
Only way to get your sports in those days.........
I used to watch baseball constantly .... in the years before ESPN when there was only three networks and nothing else on.

Its not to say that professional baseball players don’t have a unique talent at the top level…hitting a 100mph pitch isn’t easy, and pitchers are incredible and some fielding plays are amazing, but ya, baseball is more of a game than a sport.
I remember some years back, someone tracked a full teams season and the actual -ball in play- time from a 3 hour game averaged out to about 9 minutes of actual game action.
The sport was ingrained deeply as America’s pastime in a very different time. If baseball was a brand new sport today, no way people have the attention span for it to have caught on as it did back then.

That’s how I feel, even though I don’t actively follow the league (at least regular season). But I remember playing little league, and in big moments, the drama is incredible.
Like in between pitches in the 9th of a WS. People having panic attacks in the stands, lol. Big Papi hitting walk off homers in back to back (however many) games in ‘04 to finally beat the Yankees. Just incredible. How can you not be romantic…

I’m impressed with the mobility and puck skills of this Quinn Hughes fellow. I could see him developing into a Lane Hutson lite one day.

Neither do I, but that was a bad challenge by Vegas. I don't think Raty touched Hill but Hill initiated contact and it barely was any.
