Woould you consider Risto an interesting project if you could get him cheap ?

The tools are there ..Shot, Size, Mean Streak at times.........Never looked at his individual metrics but maybe the right coach could help him ?
No. He's paid too much for a 3rd pairing guy with so many holes in his game. And reports were the Flyers wanted a 1st for him.

Just to clarify my post earlier...When i said for the Flyers get some lottery picks i meant weaken your team enough to draft really high.........Didn't mean Couts and Risto could fetch them a lottery pick in a trade...Lol

Pretty sure you knew what i meant but just making sure..........

I get that. Just don't think anyone other than Konecky has much value, without eating salary with retention. That makes players hard to dump. They were lucky to get what they did from Toronto.

I grew up going to Arizona State football games. We had a long-standing tradition of throwing corn tortillas onto the field, usually to celebrate scoring a touchdown, but occasionally when the crowd disagreed with a call that went against the team, especially the latter situation from the student section. One game there was a pretty egregious call against us (our quarterback was ruled to have fumbled and the other team recovered; replays showed he was clearly down before the ball came loose, but it was before the era of replay review). A lot more than just corn tortillas started getting thrown onto the field, leading the referee to threaten to start calling delay of game penalties if we didn’t stop. After the game, the university banned corn tortillas from the stadium and started cracking down on people who threw things onto the field.

Arizona State has such a fun sports culture - when I played in Boulder, we used to go down to the "Madhouse on McDowell" one weekend per year to (usually) get our butts kicked. Fans were great and did their homework on visiting players.

I guess the lightning show is state wide tonight. Quite the display lighting up the clouds/streaking across the sky as this storm moves away from here tonight.

And, while the storm was here, there’s nothing quite like being within 100 yards of a bolt obliterating something “out of the blue” :eek2: big orange flash and a BANG.
briefly saw an orange trail going back skywards from the ground
