Absolutely. The LTIR money from Backy and Oshie was pretty important. But they spent it well and somehow replaced Backy with a 5M/year Strome. Took a risk on PLD, etc…. Mix of luck and smart moves.

So much came together at the same time for the Caps......I give them a lot of credit though....Especially their coach but that's why i said earlier that situation would be tough to duplicate .........

Who knows maybe Sid surprises us all this summer and decides to move on........If he leaves i'm guessing it's to go be with MacKinnon.
