  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I grew up going to Arizona State football games. We had a long-standing tradition of throwing corn tortillas onto the field, usually to celebrate scoring a touchdown, but occasionally when the crowd disagreed with a call that went against the team, especially the latter situation from the student section. One game there was a pretty egregious call against us (our quarterback was ruled to have fumbled and the other team recovered; replays showed he was clearly down before the ball came loose, but it was before the era of replay review). A lot more than just corn tortillas started getting thrown onto the field, leading the referee to threaten to start calling delay of game penalties if we didn’t stop. After the game, the university banned corn tortillas from the stadium and started cracking down on people who threw things onto the field.
Thanks for the story.....Arizona State always really nice uniforms.......

A baseball player named Henry Rodriguez really had a big breakout seaon with the Expos in 96 and the fans started throwing Oh Henry Bars on the field after he would hit a HR because his name was Henry........BigDaddyLurch should remember it given the fact he's from Eastern Canada.

Didn't really watch games but i remember the Expos almost making the playoffs that year .........And obviously the 94 situation.....

Not a basebeall guy but i still know a bit about the history.......With Toronto getting 2 championships it would of been cool to see the Expos get one too......

Some juicy games: Canadians @ Blues, because both desperately need the win, and Capitals @ Jets, to see if one or the other is a pretender. Maybe also Rangers @ Kings, because the Rangers badly need this win but the Kings are starting to sniff home-ice advantage over the Oilers.

If the Capitals and Jets are both pretenders, we won't be able to conclude anything by their game against each other tonight though.
