If it's a sports car I'd assume that means it's RWD. That's awful for trying to drive in the snow. FWD isn't too bad, but 4WD/AWD is way better.

Front wheel drive with good snow tires can be just as effective as 4WD in some cases. Also, snowbanks insulate you from guardrails.
