Congrats, we also have lost to the Sabres every time we play them. Doesn’t change the fact the Habs are finishing in no man’s land

...and again, the Habs were supposed to be in the Bottom 5 of the League this year...this is a HUGE accomplishment for such a young team...be bitter; Habs fans luv the progress we're making...

How exactly is that a worst case scenario? Winning games and building team chemistry is far better than collecting another top 10 pick.

I would be inclined to agree. You don’t just dwell in the basement for years on end and then suddenly flip a switch and become a playoff contender. Utah’s in the same boat when it comes to the direction the team is currently taking (current game notwithstanding). I see a lot of us in where Montreal is currently. They’re also a team that’s trying to turn the corner after the “tanking” part of a rebuild. If you make the playoffs, great. If you don’t, no big deal since you weren’t likely to go very far with them anyway and you can continue making moves to make your team more competitive.

exactly. Finishing in no man’s land 3 years into a rebuild is the worst case scenario. Bottom out cause you ain’t going anywhere.

Quote me at the end of the season. These wins are gonna cost the Habs a top pick, and they’ll miss the playoffs anyways
There is nothing special at the top of this draft. And they have already have 3+ top players to add to the team. Reinbacher, Demidov, Hage, Fowler. As well as the return of Guhle. A good centre would be nice at the draft but the race for a playoff spot and playoff experience (if they get there) is very valuable.

Yeah sorry not every team needs a 20 year rebuild like the sens. Complete ass for the last 5 years and their claim to fame is a 7 game winning streak that put them 5 points up on the last wild card. Woohooo plan the parade that nobody will even go to because it's too far out of town

Hahahah not when you have the roster Montreal has
hahaha not really sure why i'm responding but here we go

habs top 4 scorers are all 25 or younger.
they have no 2 C (injured and out for season) and their best dman - 23 yo is injured.
their AHL team is first in the league with guys like beck, F Xhekaj, Reinbacher etc waiting in the wings.
demidov, hage and fowler coming and multiple picks this summer...
but sure whatever shit-posting you need to do to cope

Hey, dont you talk bad about the Sabres like that! They have a plan!

Maybe..... :sarcasm:

It's not embarrassing until Brown or Skinner score.

I was about to type that it would be extra embarrassing to let "Skinner" score since Pickard is in net tonight, but then I remembered that the Oilers have Jeff Skinner now. Speaking of Jeff Skinner... my word, that man is about to play in his first NHL playoff game this year! Barring injury of course, which I hope doesn't happen.
