Refs are weird. This one i get, but when it comes to goaltendee interference just accept what the call is because it's always different

Well, this did not age well.

That was clearly a goal for those familiar with the Continuation play rule. Not a controversial call at all.

Here's a parallel, which my husband (who grew up in the Tampa Bay area) agrees with: imagine the Bolts are just a few points out of a playoff spot, and you have to hope someone like the Panthers wins, because they're playing against a team you're chasing in the standings.

Don't get me wrong though, I also follow the Bolts now that I'm married to him. I have probably a similar level of resentment towards the Colorado Avalanche that you do (well probably somewhat less, since I've been prioritizing Utah/Arizona over the Bolts), and for the same reason. For me at least, resentment/hatred towards team that beats you in the finals is something that fades away with time, as opposed to, say, hating LA teams because of my upbringing is something that lasts a lifetime.
