I agree. I hated him at first, but he did grow on me. It’s probably mostly that he was just not what I was used to at first, and by the end he actually was what I was used to. While that doesn’t change my opinion that I don’t miss him calling games, that’s likely because he basically just did the job “adequately” if you know what I mean.

Players should line up for face offs properly if they don’t want the linesman to take 15+ seconds to yell at them to stop breaking the rules.

I should have tried this argument with my schedulers, since linesmen get paid less than referees (I was usually a linesman). Something tells me it wouldn’t have gone very well.

It was obvious. his head went back but never hit the boards. There might have been slight contact at shoulder level but the NHL should get rid of that crap and call 5 for any head contact.
