...Rags are cooked...them & Boston miss PO's this year, imo...

The thing is that so many teams in the East are still close enough to make a late run and get in that there will be fewer than normal sellers at the TDL.

Quite possibly, only the Sabres will be sellers although the Pens, Isles and Flyers all have a very hard decision to make and very soon. Everybody else will double-down, assuming they can even find upgrades.

...Habs; we're sellers...not much going out except UFA's (Evans, Armia, maybe Savard), but they'll sell...

More of those bubble teams need to be sellers. Not to speak for Boston fans, but they have some contracts to toss away.

Agree as to Boston, but I also wonder if there is a calculus going around the GMs that with the cap going up so dramatically, the summer trading season will be extremely liquid and thus highly volatile and they might get better deals then, including dumping contracts.

In recent years with the flat-ish cap, the TDL and expiring FAs was basically the only things creating any market liquidity at all, but that's not going be the case come July.

Also, it seems like this year's TDL is already very slow. Usually, there are some juicy trades announced in the two week period prior to the TDL, but there haven't been any significant trades so far (aside from the Canucks and Rangers moving out their malcontents). So, the dam is either going to burst very soon or we'll be going through one of the quietest TDLs in recent memory.

Worst thing about the Leafs winning, odd as it is, John Waters stars.
Speaking of Divine, my grandma used to dance on the Buddy Deane Show (real life inspiration for Hairspray). Didn’t have the same warm and fuzzy ending IRL as it did in the movie
Not guaranteed. If they win both games against Buffalo they may not sell.
That would be shortsighted IMO. The caps recognized they weren’t a legit cup contender last year and sold at the TDL and used those assets to help spark the turnaround this year. MTL should stay the course
