Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Being the Zamboni driver is probably the only job I'd care to have at an NHL arena, honestly. I wouldn't have wanted to be one of the ice girls for the Coyotes. The rest of the jobs you could have at an NHL arena don't really enable you to actually watch much of the game (worked at the concession stand during college football games before and you're lucky if you can catch about half of the fourth quarter). I was in my college's marching band though, and I only joined because I wanted to get into the football games for free.

I know here a zamboni driver is just a town employee so that's part of their job at times and other times they're cutting grass, filling potholes, etc..
It's also usually the same,.so we.call them rink rats..

You get paid by the game at most levels of the sport, but it can be a very high per-game rate if you go high enough. The NHL is one of the very few leagues in the entire world that employs officials as full-time employees. NHL officials also get bonus pay for each round of the playoffs they get selected for. That's why I don't really buy it when fans like to claim that officials have no accountability. If you suck you don't get selected for the playoffs or to move on to the next round, and therefore lose out on that bonus pay. That sounds like accountability to me. They also get performance reviews, like any other job. The results of them just aren't made available to the public, as it should be.

They do have some accountability, but they also wear these little earpieces that enable Uncle Gary to order certain calls made.

The cool thing is he can issue calls from the comfort of his own home. He uses Uber-Bluetooth.
Yeah, I don't even bother with the Stu Simps anymore. The ones in here are likely just fans of other teams who want the Oilers to lose. I refuse to believe that anyone who actually watches these games is that oblivious.
He needs to get off the plane first. Longest losing streak in three years? Totally catatonic McDavid on the worst slump on his career? Whatever Knob is doing has stopped working and a change is needed asap. A new goalie would be fantastic too.

I haven't watched a ton of Oilers games this season, but in the ones I have Skinner has looked very much like Tristan Jarry. Once one bad one goes in; they all go in.
And let's just take a moment to appreciate Geno pulling a Mario-esque move to win the game for the Penguins on Max Talbot bobblehead - on a night where they were trailing the Flyers 3-0. Scripts sometimes write themselves.

Wild have nothing against the Yeti tonight.
Minnesota simply does not have the kind of depth that can withstand the losses of players like Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson-EK, and to a lesser degree, Ryan Hartman.
Marcus Foligno is trying out there, but is getting caught up in trying to do too much, and is taking bad penalties along the way.
On Utah's side though, Karel Vejmelka continues to be one of the league's quietest good goalies.
If the Sasquatch had any kind of consistency to their overall game throughout the season, Vejmelka's W-L would look much better to go along with his damned good looking GAA and Save%

...it is a mix of both terrible defensive play and badly-timed "soft" goals...Edmonton needs a lesson in Team D and I don't know if Knoblauch is the coach for it...
