It’s a catch 22. ESPN’s hockey coverage sucks (so does their coverage for any professional league other than the NFL or NBA for that matter) but they dominate the cable sports scene in my country so going away from them is arguably worse. Bad ESPN coverage does more for national exposure of the sport than being on another network.
