Honestly, I hope we lose the next few as well.. in similar fashion. We need 2 trades and not for forwards! And not finding guys not currently in the NHL either. No reclamation projects! Find an NHL Dman for 2RD and a goalie to join Stu. Pro scouts and Bowman.. it's on you.

Honestly, I bet 75% of the goalies in the league are better than Stu. His lateral movement is considered the worst in the league, and with Tristan Jarry getting waived, I feel like that plus Skinner's play is a sign that Dustin Schwartz's coaching is getting even more exposed and Skinner probably has too many bad habits to shake off. Skinner's recent stretch, to say nothing of being one of the worst goalies in the entire league at the start of the year, is beyond concerning and I think we've seen the best he has to offer.

If a team wants to trade us an upgrade for Skinner and it's the best option we have, take it. Even Akira Schmid had an amazing playoff series against an elite goalie...and he's in the AHL now.

FTR.. it's not Oiler fans constantly posting we are cup favourites. It's media and betting sites that call us that. Most the fans feel a few changes are needed.

So we get killed in a game and people come on telling us we aren't winning a Cup when we never said we were.lol

You might want to avoid the Oilers board on here, or Reddit. You still have a large number of unintentional comedians on there defending the goaltending and saying we only need more forwards. Some games it feels like at least 50% of them share that opinion.

This team is collapsing fast, as it tends to do when McDrai isn't completely carrying it. Klingberg was good yesterday, cool, doesn't change the fact that he's not a Top 4 D, and not even the type of player we needed in the first place. Play Stecher next game and see how we fare. Not totally blaming Klingberg, but we were near the top of the league in defensive metrics before he showed up.

True, but their goaltending has been dogshit since day one, save for Skinner having one hot streak behind a mostly airtight D. Both goalies have made themselves expendable.

Skinner would be the number 3 goalie on a multitude of NHL teams.
