We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto.

After watching the 4 Nations, I feel like the NHL games today are going to feel like a letdown. Am I going to watch them? Yes, I will.

I might feel emotionally detached from them for a bit though. I stated earlier elsewhere that I'm a bit emotionally checked out and might be until the playoffs. Ah well, back to the grind of the NHL regular season...

I still remember a Coyotes game I once went to on Halloween night in 2013. I had season tickets at the time. Some guy was dressed up in a giant Gumby costume and had an entire lower bowl section to himself. I think the listed attendance for the game was about 7,100. This has nothing to do with your TMNT GIF, but I felt like posting it anyway.

Tickets are indeed ridiculously expensive leaguewide. My local market is Tampa, and I'm pretty much priced out of the lower bowl. The taxes and fees they add on are also ridiculous. I bought a pair of tickets to the game on 3/27 against Utah and after all the shenanigans they added on it was nearly $200 for the two tickets in section 314. Tampa's also not even exactly the priciest market in the league. I can't imagine buying out an entire section just to have it to yourself.

But hey, the league is growing and the cap is going up... that's a good thing, right? :P

I paid almost $500 Canadian for two seats on the first balcony to watch the Penguins. Could of gotten worse seats in the lower bowl for slightly cheaper, but still.....

End zone seats in the lower bowl just aren't worth it. I'm assuming that's what you're referring to. Sat there once for a Coyotes game. My highlight of the game (it was a Coyotes game, and against the Wild, so not many highlights) was having a very up-close view of the incident where Connor Murphy's stick managed to get stuck through both of the blade holders of Jason Zucker's skates. Went back to my regular upper bowl seat for the rest of the season and declined all the free "lower bowl upgrades" the Coyotes liked to offer to upper bowl season ticket holders.

I'm wondering if we are going to get some sloppy games tonight, because there are a lot of teams with a lot of players that didn't get a break.

Teams like Toronto, Carolina, Florida, Tampa, Vegas, Boston, even Edmonton with Mcdavid.

I'd wondering if fatigue plays a factor tonight and over the next week or so and we see goalies either have to steal a lot of games the next couple weeks.

Or we see more 5-4 games then usual over the next week or 2

3-4 games for the international players is about how many they'd have played in a normal NHL schedule, so I don't think fatigue will play a big factor. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some sloppy play due to players who didn't get any game reps during the break, as well as players coming back from their national squads having to adjust back to their NHL team's system, resulting in a slight bump in scoring due to said sloppy play.

Yeah, last year I was at the goal line 12 rows off the ice, view of the other end was obstructed by the team benches. Was right on the blueline this year on the first balcony. Favorite spot to be. Unobstructed view of the entire ice.

FL ticket prices have risen right along with the team. LoL, The price of tix is the only thing I miss about the team being just mediocre, but with lots of potential.

Oilers with another non late start on a Saturday. I LOVE my late night Saturday Oiler games! f*** this.

Was happy to see Savoie called up.. I have him, Kane and Ryan as our black aces for playoffs and feel that is an exceptional group for that role. Just need an exceptional group of G and D. 2 trades please.

Also, TDL in 2 weeks.. was hoping to get a closer Savoie look before that happened. Feels a little late.
