Preds might actually f*** around a push for a wildcard. That was a horrendous start but sometimes it takes a while for things to click into gear with that many new faces in important positions.

I wasn't expecting him to be this good, but he just plays with the confidence of a 50 year old Ed Belfour.

Having watched a lot of him in the AHL I actually kind of was expecting him to be this good, just didn't think it would be so fast. Even there he moved better than most NHL goalies. Always collected and calm. Love the way he can shake off a bad game or goal too.

Calgary, despite having a playoff series a few years ago with us, haven't really been relevant for a while. Also league scheduling over the last 2 years really took any steam out of the rivalry. The Flames imploaded after the Oilers beat them and Gaudreau and Tkachuk left that offseason.

In other words, we really don't think about them that way anymore.

Agreed. Miller is $3 mil/year cheaper and is on a really reasonable contract for a dude who had a 100 point season and one point shy of a second one.
