This is ridiculous. There were 10-15 penalties on the Rangers ignored.

The Zibanejad goal was ridiculous. There is clearly an interference on Savard and Zibanejad shoot the puck where Savard should be. I don't know why the refs allowed this.

Ok well the hit on chytil in the corner that led to the ot winner was every bit as much of a standard boarding call, but it wasn’t called. That happens, so what? It wasn’t called, so it’s not a penalty, and nobody cares. If you rewatch the game, at least for anyone who doesn’t live in delusion, there’s more than a few “penalties” that are regularly called committed by both teams, but they let em play tonight. All you want from refs is consistency within a game, and they consistently let both teams play. Anyone arguing either team was wronged has a right to do so, and should. It’s a good way to see who can’t be taken seriously and the takes are fun to laugh at.

Refs are human. They’re gonna make mistakes, they miss things, they get deceived by players trying to draw penalties, and penalties are ultimately discretionary. There’s a lot of refs, and there’s gonna be variance in how they call games as well as thresholds on when a play exits the grey area into the arm going up. Over 82 games, it all evens out.
