Smart move by Carolina. Gotta let Buffalo get a lead first so they can go into collapse mode.

Yes, typical Sabres for this season. The last few years it was the opposite, give up 2 early goals then play like you care for the 3rd period to lose by a goal

I think it is the league trying to balance national tv commitments on both sides of the border. Oilers-Wild is a national game on both sides of the border. Sportsnet probably doesn’t want it for after 9pm eastern. That means Carolina/Buffalo, which is also a TNT game in the US, has to move up an hour early to accommodate and make the double header.
 
Yikes @ buffalo spectators, absolute yikes... entire lower bowl, missing. Can someone please explain to me why the NHL doesn't flex their national TV games, or simply just not show this. This is an utter embarrassment to the league. Showcasing the only two games on the docket tonight and you got a PWHL crowd in Buffalo. Flex that out. This current game should be filled with a movie. Sorry Buffalo, maybe its time to head to the Q. Im sure they could muster up more than 11 fans.

It’s been 14 f***ing years since they made the playoffs. And they regressed again this year in year 5 of this do nothing GM sitting on his goddamned hands while they sink. Sitting on cap space and futures like a f***ing bum.

There are more people there than there should be.

Show me any other market under those conditions. Wait…you can’t…no other franchise has ever had a playoff drought this long. They break their own record every single year.

Calling out fan interest is missing so many points it’s pathetic.
