======================
I've had an idea. Let's decide who the greatest players in Avalanche history are.
  • You decide what "greatest" means.
  • Only judge players based on their Avalanche careers. This means no extra points for Sakic's time with the Nordiques, or Ray Bourque's time with the Bruins.
  • Poll will be open for a few days.
  • Each time you vote, suggest a player who should be added for the next round.
  • If there's no consensus on who should be added I'll just pick the next player who's played the most games.
  • Here's a list of everyone: Colorado Avalanche all-time player list at hockeydb.com

My vote is for Landeskog, and I'll remind you that he sacrificed a leg to win a cup.

I had video games, older humans, and even books with photographs that said he's good, so I believed it. Of course I didn't see it, because I'm not eighty.
I think it was NHL 2007 where Randy Robitaille scored 40 goals a season from the penalty kill and Timofei Shishkanov won multiple Selke trophies, I don't think you can trust those.

The Captain. Best captain in the NHL. Part of the 9296 line and the one that does the heavy defensive lifting. Sacrificed his knee for the Cup. Specifically (along with EJ) asked not to be traded during the down years because he wanted to be part of the solution

To me, it's Foote. Two Stanley Cups. OG Avalanche warrior through the glory years and throughout the rivalry with Detroit.

If Landeskog makes a triumphant return and continues his career at a high level of play, then he rises higher on the list.

Add Deadmarsh. He should be higher than Ozo or Blake, imo.

Landy but I'm OK with either Foote or Mikko as well. They are all good picks at this stage.

The one thing this poll series has reminded me of is how highly I thought of Rob Blake as a child.

Bourque is my favorite merc by far. Blake was fun to destroy people with in video games though. I always had to cheat and make Foote faster lol.

Voting's almost over. And this is a close one, so it actually counts.
