======================
I've had an idea. Let's decide who the greatest players in Avalanche history are.
  • You decide what "greatest" means.
  • Only judge players based on their Avalanche careers. This means no extra points for Sakic's time with the Nordiques, or Ray Bourque's time with the Bruins.
  • Poll will be open for a few days.
  • Each time you vote, suggest a player who should be added for the next round.
  • If there's no consensus on who should be added I'll just pick the next player who's played the most games.
  • Here's a list of everyone: Colorado Avalanche all-time player list at hockeydb.com

No. No Minnesota Wild ever. Don’t care how good his stats were here. F*** Brunette

Karlis is fine. I don’t have him that high but no objection to being added sometime
Tangs coached with the Iowa Wild and is on here already. ;)

Ok, then replace Brunette with Martin Skoula. :sarcasm:
Meh. Won a Cup here so fine with that one.

Regardless of who else he played for, Brunette has always been a Wild in my mind. Also he was on that 03 Wild team so screw him. Skoula was still an Av in 03

Tangs coaching in Detroit is the weirder one. I just really hate Brunette

Voted Kadri.

But not going to lie, starting to lose a bit of interest as we get to the complementary pieces.

Given the generally negative skew of this board, maybe we should start a top 10 worst Avs players poll? I have some good candidates ready.

It'd be tough to vote for worst. I'll never vote against Guenin.

Yeah, but this too. At first I was like "It'll be the most interesting part to see who makes it in 30-50." Now that we're actually nearing 30 I'm like "What the f*** do I care about any of the rest of these?"

Yea we probably could’ve stopped at 20-25. Now it’s just sad to realize it’s a bunch of complementary pieces who weren’t even here long

I mean when we are legitimately voting for Jon Klemm, we might be past the expiration date.

Speaking of with, add Eric Lacroix

speak for yourselves, for me here is where the fun lies. voted Klemm again. add the beauty Ryan Wilson.

btw I find it interesting that a lot of recent players have already made into the ranking, others are available as options... but exactly the guy who is the fan favorite, or at least used to be until recently before he went partying, doesnt even get voted to be included.

We’re nearing the range of Nuke being here. Toews, Kadri, G and JTC should be ahead of him still IMO. Not enough tenure and didn’t really break out until recently. Really Burkie and Nuke should be at a similar level somewhere in the 30s

Im far from a Nuke fanboy but apart from Kadri and JTC, Id vote on Nuke ahead of Sammy G, Gusarov, Hinote and Mcleod, over half the current candidates.

You forget that people hate G because of that last game in the Vegas series. Despite looking good during our cup run (before his injury) and against Seattle. All people really remember is that game. Now he's just labeled as "weak in the playoffs".
