======================
I've had an idea. Let's decide who the greatest players in Avalanche history are.
  • You decide what "greatest" means.
  • Only judge players based on their Avalanche careers. This means no extra points for Sakic's time with the Nordiques, or Ray Bourque's time with the Bruins.
  • Poll will be open for a few days.
  • Each time you vote, suggest a player who should be added for the next round.
  • If there's no consensus on who should be added I'll just pick the next player who's played the most games.
  • Here's a list of everyone: Colorado Avalanche all-time player list at hockeydb.com

Add Ian Laperriere. Short tenure, but had one of my all time favorite seasons by an Avalanche.

Klemm.
Add DeVries? Might though be too early for him.
Actually add Krupp instead first

Amazing that RoR isn’t there yet. He’s the best player in Blues history

Went Tboobs, drafted by us, didn't choose to leave like Casper. Maybe Casper next..

Remove Duchene
I still blame management for Staz not re-signing. We kept hearing from both sides that a deal should get done in the off-season. Then we f***ed around and found out.

I agree on Duchene being removed. F*** him, O'Reilly and the horses they rode in on.... If O'Reilly's isn't already crashed into the side of Tim Hortons.

They were told both privately and publicly he'd take a hometown discount, and he literally went and signed a fat UFA contract with a rival.

There is a reason he's said he'd come back in recent years, but at every turn when we needed a center they haven't even made an offer.

All three jumped ship, at least he did it as a UFA, and didn't force his way out by demanding a trade.

But you're forgetting the thing that sets these three players apart: O'Reilly's far superior style of play that everyone liked.

Matt Duchene was my favorite player for years and skills-wise he's one of the best players ever to wear an Avs jersey. I lost my love to him during his last moments as an Av but thanks to his value we got pieces that ultimately helped us win the cup.

In the end he was super important to this franchise.

You might be right, but my personal vendetta against Dutchy and new age country music doesn't allow me to vote for him.

100% fair, they should have paid him. I didn't really have a problem with what he did, unless it's true he was that butt hurt about not being named captain.
