HF Board Update questions/issues thread

Thread colors, fully read vs not read, are not different enough, with the current chosen blue color. Honestly the whole color scheme is awful. How do some users have the light theme by default and despite my choosing the light them I'm stuck with the dark?
I chose "Dark theme" but yet still have "light theme". If I change my phone to "dark theme" then it changes. Clearly things are still in the working stages, and not 100% updated yet.

That really sucks. Sad and angry are legit reactions for a discussion board. Why are they removing them? It doesn't make sense.

Basically my understanding is that HF wants to stay away from negative reactions (and limit the general amount of reactions available) to essentially keep the place from turning into Reddit where it’s all about reactions. They want to avoid discouraging discussion from earnest contrarians.

That said, there could possibly be some solutions/compromises that will be worked on once the dust has settled from the update, so stay tuned.

I mean if for example someone posts that a player got hurt, the proper reaction to that news would be sad or angry.

"Negative reaction" doesn't mean negative towards the poster.

Too late with the laugh reaction.

The sad and angry reactions I think would be used appropriately. Hard to think of scenarios where they'd be misused.

Or does HF want the engagement from the angry, obnoxious, troll replies for the traffic/ad revenue, and they're worried a simple angry/sad reaction will stop the discussion from going any further?

Look, I don't know anything about trolls, but I strongly suspect that just having reactions wouldn't be the fix they were looking for.
