Hey Terry, Do Us A Favor and SELL

Why do I want to find a positive that they are sitting as far apart as you possibly can in that box?

I actually do find it odd that they are sitting in the positions they are in. Both at the extreme side of their row, having to transverse multiple empty seats to get to their spot. Terry it makes sense to get away from that odd panel of glass. You would think the GM would sit in the aisle seat to be closer. Or they would sit in seats 1 and 3 of Kevyn's row.

Yes.. would love to see more Marco Scandella trades where you trade him for a 4th round pick and a month later Montreal trades him for a 2nd round pick
Do you know what the difference in those trades was?

Because I hate to tell you why this happened…but one GM was allowed to retain salary. And the other worked for Terry Pegula

People still don’t realize how badly the rebuild was kneecapped by not being allowed to retain salary.

We need people to take this picture and do thought bubbles for Terry, Adams, and Matt Ellis.

No photoshop skills but....

KA: (OMG! I still have a job! :D )

ME: (OMG!! I still have a job!!! :m-dance:)

TP: (this space empty)

This franchise brings me no joy or excitement. It's hard to recall the last time they brought out positive emotion

It pains me to say i would rather they leave town than continue in this current state. They bring shame on the city and the history of the once-proud franchise.

I think "kneecapped" is WAY too strong a word.

By not retaining salary, we didn't maximize any draft capital return -- that is true. But it's still draft capital which is inherently a crapshoot.
Yeah, retaining salary is only a small piece of it. But not fully utilizing our cap space did far worse than kneecap us.

Over the last 5 years we had approximately $65 million in combined unused cap space. Which I’m pretty sure leads the league.

$65m buys an enormous amount of trade/draft capital over 5 years. Especially when draft space was at its peak value due to the Covid flat cap.

Please sell:

“A main point of frustration for fans is that the Sabres haven’t spent to the salary cap ceiling since the pandemic, and the cap is about to skyrocket in the next few years. The Sabres are the only team that has left at least $6 million in cap space unspent in each of the last five seasons. Pegula hasn’t spoken publicly about the team since 2020, when he deemed the organization’s mission was to be “effective, efficient and economic.” That day, Pegula hired Adams as general manager. He also fired more than 20 people in the hockey operations department.”

For anybody that thinks he isn’t involved with personnel decisions, that’s for you.

I also thought it was funny that some people saw the quotes in The Athletic about Pegula being in “left-field” and thought it meant that he’s an absent owner. No, he’s just clueless.
