Watching the game the other night and hearing the announcers rave about the speed of the Bears first line, Snively/Lappy/Frank, got me hankering to see Lappy and Frank on the first line for the Capitals next season. I think Ovie's lack of speed would be an impediment to the first line, thus move Ovie down to the second line with Strome centering and Wilson (or Leonard as the RW).

Just spitballing here, but it did get me wondering who could play the first line LW that has speed, and don't crucify me but I came up with Jake the Snake. Not sure where he is these days mentally and health wise, but he's a UFA that I'm sure the Caps might get on the cheap perhaps. Again just spitballing.
