They're very different. ECHL is the tougher league. NCAA may have higher end talent but it's still a developmental league and the ECHL is grown men playing professional hockey. I have a handful of friends and former teammates who were very good college hockey players and barely got a cup of coffee in the ECHL. One dude I played with was a mid-round draft pick who never cracked the AHL and played in less than 10 ECHL games.

I remember Bednar in the 90s. It was 1970s and 80s style hockey. I loved it.

Syracuse tonight at 7pm. Trineyev wasn’t on the “not available for bears tonight” list last game. I wonder if he will draw in tonight. Funk didn’t play either. Love to see both in tonight. A Funk-Rybinski-Trineyev line would be good to see. Ry and Trineyev have been good together.

I think I'm finally starting to sympathize with the Sgarbossa dislikers... for every assist or two he notches, he sends about nine or ten pucks straight to opponents' tapes or empty ice.

Bears win 5-4 in a shootout. Frank the only goal in four rounds. For as shaky as he was in the third period- he literally gave away the second goal- Shep saved their asses in OT a couple times and stopped every shot in the shootout.
